Splash into Spring
April 2024

Celebrate the arrival of spring in Ogunquit! Participate in our Best of Ogunquit giveaway to win fabulous lodging, restaurant and retail prizes! (Link will be posted here soon.) Kick off the season with the opening of the Ogunquit Museum of American Art and Ogunquit Playhouse. The festival period concludes with the Southern Maine AIDS Walk to benefit the Frannie Peabody Center.

Ogunquit Pride
June 1-2, 2024

Ogunquit Pride kicks off with a flag raising in Veteran’s Park, followed by a community Picnic in the Park with live music. Other activities throughout the weekend salute the legacy of the LGBTQ+ community in Ogunquit, with a variety of events hosted by member businesses, including music, movies, live entertainment, and food.

BonAire! A Celebration of Ogunquit
June 8-9, 2024

This event celebrates Ogunquit’s unique history and today’s culture, with a focus on the contributions of the arts, fishing and LGBTQ+ community. The main event is an oceanside music & food festival, featuring free live music, food, and an artisan craft fair from 10am-7pm. There are additional adult and family activities throughout the community.

July 4th Fireworks

Ogunquit is renowned for an impressive fireworks display, shot from the Main Beach Parking Lot. Rain date: July 5.

21st Annual OgunquitFest: October 25-27, 2024

Signature events include a classic car show on Saturday, huge artisan craft fair all weekend, children's trick or treating on Friday night and Saturday morning, Halloween-themed events, and the Dogtoberfest costume parade. The weekend culminates at Sunday's High Heel Dash in Perkins Cove, a benefit for the Frannie Peabody Center. Activities and events occur throughout town.

OgunquitFest Artisan Craft Fair
October 26-27, 2024

Join us for our annual OgunquitFest Artisan Craft Fair. This year's event will take place outdoors at Dorothea Jacobs Grant Common. This is a large grassy park adjacent to one of the most popular parking lots. We'll also host crafters indoors in the adjacent Dunaway Center. Live music adds to the Ogunquit atmosphere at this autumn event.

38th Annual Christmas by the Sea
December 13-15, 2024

Welcoming the holiday season, our 38th annual event brings tree lightings, concerts, craft shows, children's activities, a parade, bonfire, fireworks, Santa and so much more. Events occur throughout town.

How our event dates are chosen:

  • Splash into Spring: Dates are TBD
  • Ogunquit Pride is celebrated with a flag raising on June 1, with additional events scheduled each day after through the weekend.
  • BonAire! is celebrated on the second Saturday of June.
  • Independence Day fireworks are always on July 4, regardless of the day of the week on which it falls. Rain date is July 5.
  • OgunquitFest Weekend: Although we celebrate autumn all throughout the month of October, our signature events are hosted the second weekend after Indigenous Peoples' Day (formerly Columbus Day) weekend.
  • Christmas by the Sea: Our holiday festival is held on the second weekend after the Saturday following Thanksgiving.
